Today I downloaded a nightly update onto my Android device (Samsung Galaxy S3) with Android 4.4.4 (Cyanogenmod 11). I didn’t read the changelog and just pressed „Reboot and install“; when it restarted I was wondering about a new boot animation which I didn’t know yet. Then everything crashed and I needed to to a complete reset.

After the next reboot there was an Android 6.0.1 (Cyanogenmod 13) on my device.

Wow… :D

Issues (so far…)

  • The screen flickers sometimes.
  • Although the Privacy guard is set to automatically be enabled for new apps this is not the case.
  • I could’t find where to change the temperature display from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
  • Cannot change the wireless settings from static to DHCP because the save button is greyed out then.

I am going to test the phone encryption which didn’t work on my phone on older CM versions.

Just wanted to tell if there is someone else out there who thought 4.4 would be the last update for his device :)
